How is it possible for the US political system to become more open to additional parties?

The problem is that the PEOPLE need to GROW UP and stop voting for the Mommy Party or the Daddy Party. If you don't know which is which you must be living in a coal mine. Daddy sells security and Mommy sells health and welfare. The thinking is wrong. The Government IS NOT a supply. The People are the supply and government is a result.
