I need a program that can sort files by type.?

kinda like how when you dump a bunch of music files into itunes, it automatically sorts them by album/artist/etc, i need something like that, cept sorts files out by type and names the folders as such. like, folder named ".zip" and ".txt" ...etc. anyone know of something like that? my harddrive is sooooooooooo cluttered.
