When you first felt your baby move...?

I am almost positive I felt my baby move last night when I was lying in bed. I had just drank something and shortly after I felt some strange tapping/bubble popping sensations. It stopped and then I pressed on my stomach and felt the same thing again. Are fetal movements few and far between when you first feel them? I haven't felt anything since last night (especially because I have been moving around all day). I was just wondering if I will feel them every day from here on out, or will they be intermittent - becoming more constant the further along I get?
