What is the proper way to store a bottle of Dom Perignon Vintage 1999?

My wife and I were given a bottle of Dom P, Vintage 1999 from a friend for the birth of our son. How should this bottle be stored and for how long can it be stored? Thank you for your help as this was a wonderful gift and we want to celebrate with it, but in the future when the situation warrants.
