I think it's fine. Once you have kids your whole value system changes and if being able to spend more time with them means scooping ice cream so be it. i'm in your same boat, I have my BA but am working as a cake decorator at the local market. I agree, a menial job is less stressful and when your a mom the last thing you need is more stress.
